After getting told off again this morning, I have managed to pack my bags a few hours ago. I am going away... off to the birthplace of my maternal grandparents. Balik Kampung doesn't really apply to me because we are going to my grandparents' kampung. That said, Sudirman's annoying song keeps playing in my head. LOL. I will write about my trip after I get home and this time the posts will include pictures because I am getting a new camera.
To prep for the trip, I have bought myself a new Caribee sleeping bag for when I get stuck in the woop woop for a few nights. I am really quite worried about the bathroom arrangements while I am there but I haven't gone as far as purchasing water purification tablets yet. We are bringing all sorts of medicines just in case.
We are flying away on Wednesday. I still have to work for two more mornings. Work is especially stressful this week and I am glad to be out of it by the middle of the week.Most of my other colleagues are slaving it till the end of the week before their holidays start in earnest.
The truth is I didn't want to balik kampung. I didn't want to go for the longest time. Then I bought a Lonely Planet Guide on China and I now find myself planning a trip to Nanjing at the end of next year. LOL. It looks like I will be going to China twice next year! Let's hope that this trip is a good one first before I make any definite decisions.
